HARLESTON GREEN
Scotland
In 1786, a group of Scottish Merchants gathered with some sticks and balls at Harleston Green in Charleston, South Carolina, and introduced America to one of Scotland's two greatest exports.
This blended Scotch Whiskey is a tribute to America's first golf club, the great game itself, and the Scottish-American connection that's created a long, rich heritage.
Hilton Head may be one of the meccas of American golf, but Harleston Green is its birthplace. According to records, the first shipment of golf clubs and balls arrived in Charleston from Scotland in 1743. It wasn't until 1786 that the continent's first golf club, the South Carolina golf club at Harleston Green, was formed.
