Located in Vouvray, Mathieu Cosme took over the Domaine de Beaumont from his father in 2005. Before that Matthieu was a rugby player, and later worked at the prestigious domaine Huet in Vouvray. He is now the 5th generation to make wine at the family estate in Noizay. Domaine du Facteur, wich means postman in French, is one brand of the estate which focuses on natural and fun wines. It is certified organic and using biodynamic preparations on the 11 hectares of vines. Mathieu plows the land by horse and harvest is done by hand. Fermentation occurs “naturally”, with indigenous yeast only.
