Michel Chapoutier has built a world wide reputation in the Rhone but his vineyard and winery holdings are not confied to that area. He also has a great estate further south in the jewel of the Languedoc known as the Cote du Roussillon. Here, at Domaine de Bila Haut, old vines of Syrah, Grenache, and Carignana are carefully cultivated using sustainable and biodynamic growing methods. In the hills of the Agly Valley, the Cote du Roussillon Villages area make truly unique and superb red blends.
At lower elevations, a unique blended white wine is also produced. Here, Macabeo, Grenache Blanc and Grenahce Gris are carefully grown and vinified to produce an elegant, crisp and mineral laden wine with lingering notes of citrus, melon and saline flavors.
